Lack Of Updates In September

Sorry for the lack of updates last month, I have quite a bit on my plate recently. Putting that aside, I have been working on some new stuff (that bmw will be finished soon) which I will be posting up shortly so check back later…

BMW 1-Series Hatchback Render

Well the lack of recent updates is because I have been grafting away at a low poly model of a BMW 1 series 5 door hatchback, and believe me it is taking ages. A select few mates have seen the progress to a degree but the project now is taking a lot more shape. I will be making some notes on modeling the car when then render is done, which will be helpful if you are just starting out in 3d. I will post a few screens up in a bit to show you guys the progress that it is taking, the results are looking good.

check back soon for more updates and whatnot

New Creative Services Page.

I have just made a new page that offers up my creative services to the wide world. Check the page for more details.

News: Site Update Mp3 Streaming

Because of the new record label launch, I have decided to make my mp3 tracks I have produced no longer available for download, but you can still listen by using the funky new play button that I have installed!

I will make certian auido files available for download such as mixes and dj sets.

New 1024×768 Background Jpg The Narukami Dragon

Well you might not know this but me and a few buddies are starting up a record label called Narukami Records http://www.narukamirecords.com/ and I have been kindly asked to produce some artwork for them. Many props to Doug from over at http://www.bluntbeats.com/ for supplying the original design of the dragon for me to work with.

This picture uses a few cool rendering methods in it, such as ambient occlusion, soft shadowing and subsurf scattering. All of these methods used in conjunction create a really nice feel to the final render, but it does take ages for it to compute all the data.

New Animation Testing Bone Rigging

www.kierantaylor.net/vids/bone_rig_test.avi

Using a mesh that i had previously made, I had a shot at rigging it with bones so that I could animate it. The figure does a sort of walk, but I am on the right track. A bit more practice and i should be able to get the walk to look more realistic.

Also I have been doing some experimenting with UV unwrapping, texture skinning and ambient occlusion. I should have some really nice results to post up soon…

NEWS UPDATE

As of next Tuesday I should be able to update my site more often because I have managed to sort out a new Internet service provider.

Hopefully gone are the days of random disconnects and modem failures leaving me with a more stable Internet connection! WOOHOO!

Gigs Coming Up

I have some gigs coming up real soon like, first one is on the 23rd of March at the George 2 pub in Luton. The next is on the 31st of May at the Volks nightclub in Brighton.

Hope to see you all down there…

Lack Of Updates This Week

Sorry about the lack of any updates to the site this week, I have been very busy with search engine optimisation and other things to do with the site, like the shop.

Expect More updates coming in the next week, I have some really nice new art and possibly some new mp3 tracks too.

Stay tuned!
